Meet Ms. Wood
This is my fifteenth year at Quadra School and I am pleased to be a part of this inclusive learning community. I have been teaching in the Victoria school district for 18 years now and have had the privilege of meeting some amazing students along the way.
I grew up here in Victoria and love the city. I started my education at Marigold Elementary, graduated from Spectrum High School and went on to complete two degrees at the University of Victoria. In 2014 I completed my Masters degree in Special Education at the University of Vancouver Island.
Being a teacher and supporting student learning is something I care deeply about. Every school year presents new opportunities to learn and grow with my students.
Ways to support the classroom
Have you heard of #clearthelist? It is a hashtag that seems to trend on social media platforms in the late summer as teachers look for resources for their classrooms. Teachers curate a list of wished-for items and generous members of the public select items from the list to purchase. Here is a link to my Amazon.ca classroom wish list.
